After obtaining a technical diploma in Business Management from Cégep Limoilou in Quebec City, Pierre-Hugues joined the HEC Student Investment Fund upon his entry at HEC Montréal in 2015. He will graduate in May 2019 with a B.B.A. with Honors in Finance (Quantitative Finance track).
Over the course of his journey with the FPHEC, he held numerous positions, starting as an analyst in the Financial Institutions sector (Fall 2015-Winter 2016) before managing the Energy (Winter 2017) and Financial Institutions (2018) portfolios. He joined the FPHEC’s executive team as Managing Director for the school year 2018-2019.
Moreover, Pierre-Hugues benefits from various work experiences in finance. Notably, he completed internships in Growth & Transition Capital at BDC Capital (2016), in Investment Banking at TD Securities (2017) and, more recently, in Fixed Income Sales & Trading at National Bank Financial Markets (2018).
His academic journey has also been marked by an exchange semester at ESADE Business School in Barcelona, one of Europe’s finest. He also represented HEC Montréal at the Financial Open case competition in Corporate Finance (2017) and Market Finance (2018). Pierre-Hugues successfully passed the CFA Level 1 exam and will complete the Level 2 upon his graduation.
