Born in Quebec City, Pierre-Hugues completed his collegial studies at Cégep Limoilou with a technical diploma in business management. While interested in stock trading for a long time, his keen interest for finance evolved through his experiences at the Place à la Relève en gestion case competition, the Bourstad portfolio management contest and during an internship in business financing at Filaction Fonds de développement.
His arrival at HEC Montréal was characterized by the privilege of entering the HEC Student Investment Fund, where he made his mark as an analyst assigned to the financial sector. His first year was followed by a summer spent as an analyst for the Growth & Transition Capital group at BDC Capital. After a 4-month exchange program at ESADE Business School in Barcelona, he will join the Energy portfolio team upon his return at the beginning of the winter 2017 semester.
Pierre-Hugues plans to graduate in 2018 with a bilingual bachelor’s degree in business administration specialized in finance, with Honours stream. He expects to enroll in the CFA and CAIA Level 1 exams during summer 2018 and then pursue a career in Capital Markets.
