Simon is entering his second year in the bilingual B.B.A. Bachelor of Business and Administration program. Before starting studying at HEC Montreal, Simon graduated from the International Baccalaureate in Economics at Brebeuf college. Simon is passionate about finance. He thinks that investing in the stock market is the best way to become wealthy in the long run. He was very happy to be an analyst in the Global Macro sector to make his start in the family of the HEC Montreal Student Investment Fund. He is now an analyst in the Energy sector. He is also assuming the role of vice-president this year.
Last summer, Simon had the opportunity to gain work experience in finance while doing an internship at Mackenzie Investments. Simon also had the opportunity to gain experience in the financial field during the previous two summers working at RBC Dominion Securities in wealth management.
In January 2020, Simon is going to study at the CASS Business School in London. He is pretty excited to do this student exchange in Europe that will give him the opportunity to travel and learn a lot from other cultures.
Simon won the John Molson Stock Exchange in 2018. Previously, Simon won the first grand prize of the simulation Bourstad in 2017 and the second grand prize in 2018. As president of the Brebeuf Investment Club, he also organized with his colleagues the first edition of the Brebeuf Stock Exchange. He received the AURA prize with his executive team for the great organization of this event.
Simon also enjoys playing golf and hockey. He has a membership at Pinegrove Country Club.
