Sophie was born and raised in Montreal. In High school, she was in a science, arts and letters enriched program. She was the Volleyball AA team captain for 4 years and led her team to the regional championship victory, two consecutive years. She continued her CEGEP studies (international baccalaureate) in Administration at André-Grasset College.
Sophie will graduate from HEC Montreal in 2015 with a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), specializing in Finance. Sophie arrived at HEC in 2012 and immediately joined the Investment Funds (FPHEC), where she worked as an analyst in the Industrials sector. She was awarded with the “Recruit of the year 2012-2013” prize for the rigor of her analyses, her implication and her motivation. During summer 2013, Sophie was an Intern in the Macro Research & Strategy Department at Pavilion Global Markets (formerly Brockhouse Cooper).
During the 2013-2014 school year, Sophie will be the Portfolio Manager of the Consumption and Healthcare Sector. She will also represent HEC Montreal in the finance team of “Les Jeux du Commerce” and of the Financial Open. During summer 2014, Sophie will be a Summer Analyst – Investment Banking at Scotiabank.
While dedicating her time to the FPHEC, Sophie is an administrator on the Board of Série Finance et Politique de Montréal, a group of young professionals organizing lectures and panels to exchange ideas on Finance and Politics in Quebec.
